Hi! I'm David Smith, Superintendent of the Waynesville, NC Waste Water Treatment Plant. We have essentially "sold out" of Waynesville Blend since we went on-line in the Spring of 1998. Our customers like the product because it provides essential nutrients, is friable, easy to handle and there are no odors. |

We added RDP's EnVessel Pasteurization System to the outside of our existing brick building. |
| Waynesville uses quicklime, dolomitic lime and
supplemental heat to create Waynesville Blend. The product meets the specific needs in the area for nitrogen, calcium and magnesium. Quicklime is added to raise the pH and also provide some of the heat required for the pasteurization. The quick lime is delivered in 22 ton tank trucks and pneumatically conveyed to the top of our silo. |

| Dolomitic lime is used in addition to quick lime to enhance the quality and marketability of our product. The dolomitic lime is delivered by dump trucks. |

The dolomitic lime is loaded in the feed bin with a front end loader. A screw conveyor elevates the lime to the second floor where the lime is mixed with dewatered sludge cake. |

The resulting biosolids are loaded into a truck and hauled fifty yards to a covered storage pad. Regulatory compliance is easily maintained and documented. |
| The Class A biosolids product is stored on the pad and loaded into the "customer's" trucks by the staff of the waste water plant. The end product is easy to handle and free of offensive odors. |

| Waynesville's product has been endorsed by the
Haywood County Agricultural Extension Service Agent. It is being sold by the local aglime distributor and is being used by a number of local farmers who are growing hay products for their cattle. Iron Hill Golf Club, a local golf course, is using Waynesville Blend to build fairways and greens. |

"Last year I used fertilizer. This year I used the product (Waynesville Blend) and the rye looks better. It ( the rye) has much better color and grew higher. I don't know what the product would have done if we had a normal amount of rain" - Howard King, local farmer/columnist. |

As proven in Waynesville, NC and in other towns across the country, the grass really is greener on Waynesville Blend side of the fence. |
